Warrior Saints are thankful to God for the blessings He has given us. At St. George we show our gratitude to God by giving back to the world. We do so through the tithing of our time and money. We give of our time when we join the community in worship, fellowship and ministry. We give of our money through our tithes and offerings. When we give back, we become a part of something greater than ourselves and allow The Church to continue to thrive.
 











What is the appropriate amount to contribute to the Church?
 
 Christians have the responsibility to advance the Church’s mission through tithing. Tithing is defined in Scripture as 10% of your annual income. If you are not in a position to give 10% of your income, give what you can and consider it as a starting point. As a Warrior Saint, make it a goal to increase your tithe every year and challenge yourself to be crucifixional every year.








How can I Tithe and make my contribution?



We encourage our stewards to use our PushPay app to tithe. PushPay is convenient and simple to use. Follow these simple steps to receive the PushPay application on your Smart Phone.

  • Text “Dragon” to 77977 and follow the prompts to set up your PushPay account.

  • Once the account is active, enter the amount you will tithe. Then select “Tithe” from the Giving Type drop-down menu.
    •  
  • For your convenience, you can designate your tithe to recur weekly or monthly.
    •  
 
You may also give your tithe in the following ways:
 
     
  • Check – Please complete the check payable to St. George and ensure your name is noted on the check.
    •  
  • Cash – Please insert cash into an envelope that has your name written on the envelope. Giving envelopes are provided in the church Narthex at the Stewardship kiosk.
    •  
  • Credit Card – Complete the information requested on the Commitment Card to include your credit card number, expiration and CCV and we will set this up for automatic payments through PushPay.
    •  
 


 






 




How can I include St. George in my estate plan?
 
 Your support of St. George can carry on past your lifetime by including a percentage or a specific amount of a gift in your will or revocable trust. Consult your attorney or legal advisor for the simple process of setting this up.

Ladies
 
The backbone of our parish family, St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church’s ladies embody the essence of hospitality. Our ladies love, serve and care for others at every turn. They are a fellowship of dedicated Warrior Saints® who serve Christ by serving others.


 






 




St. George Little Warriors
 
St. George Little Warriors (SGLW) is our ministry for Warrior Saints® between 4 and 11 years old. SGLW holds quarterly events, including Vacation Bible School, setting a solid foundation for their life in Christ through hands-on learning and community-building activities.








SOYO
 
SOYO is our youth group for Warrior Saints® in 7th through 12th grade. At St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church we build community among our youth, training them with the Gospel so that having put on the whole armor of God they are equipped to face the challenges of Jr. High and High School years strengthening their solid foundation for their life in Christ.


 








Young Professionals Group

Annual Festival
 
Hospitality runs through our veins. Each year, we host the Greater Phoenix Area for an experience with Middle Eastern flair. In addition to delectable food, there is dancing, live music, and a Kids’ Zone complete with bounce houses, sno-cones, and popcorn! Follow us on Facebook and stay up to date!


 






 




Hospital & Homebound Outreach
 
The Hospital and Homebound Ministry program allows Warrior Saints® to visit parish members who are hospitalized or homebound and unable to attend Divine Liturgy. Volunteering can look like sitting and visiting with someone for an hour at the hospital or at home, or bringing meals to a parishioner in need. The results are transformative for both the person being visited and the person visiting.
